Blue Yonder
Blue Yonder is a 5.85m Tornado Voyager RIB with a 135HP Mercury Optimax outboard. She is fully kitted out with VHF and GPS/Sonar.
She is a fast and economical boat, with a long range which means we can get access to some of the more distant off shore sites e.g. 'The Smalls'. The Optimax engine is clean burning and does not fill the kitting up area with smoke and smells.
Here she is on her "maiden voyage" in Brixham.
Our previous club vehicle, an ex-Ambulance, which used to tow the boat and transport us to and from dive sites has given its last. However, we are happy to report that we are now the proud owners of a new minibus.
We have a number of qualified Boat Handlers and VHF operators in the club, which means it is easier to arrange expeditions to the coast. Typically we have trips to Plymouth, Salcombe and West Wales during the season but may go further afield depending on demand.
