Where we dive
For members new to
the sport, initial training takes place in the pool at
Studley Leisure Centre, which we have use of every Monday evening. When they are competent
enough, trainees are escorted on further dives conducted in inland dive sites around the Midlands
area.
As for the rest of us, we dive most weekends during the season with trips planned
all around the UK and further afield. In 2005 we had expeditions to the West of Scotland
(Coll and Tiree),
East Scotland (St Abbs),
North Wales, Cornwall, and the Red Sea, together with numerous trips to other dive sites
(Stoney Cove,
Dosthill,
and Capernwray)
for training purposes.
In 2006 we are planning a varied programme ranging from Plymouth to the Scillies, St Abbs to West Wales, together with a number of overseas trips to Tenerife and the Mediterranean. See our 2006 Dive Programme
